EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE (ECEC) SERVICES PLAY A REALLY IMPORTANT ROLE IN SUPPORTING THE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF ALL CHILDREN.

Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)  includes:
  • Preschool/Kindergarten
  • Outside School Hours Care
  • Long Day Care
  • Family Day Care
Evidence shows that children with disability and/or developmental delay that attend mainstream ECEC settings make at least as much developmental progress from playing along with their typical developing peers than they do in settings that are considered ‘specialist’.
Quality education and care shapes every child’s future and lays the foundation for development and learning. The early years are critical for establishing self-esteem, resilience, healthy growth and capacity to learn.
